SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER je mezinárodní festival divadelních škol s více než třicetiletou tradicí. Jedinečnost festivalu spočívá v tom, že hlavní organizátory tvoří studenti Divadelní fakulty Janáčkovy akademie múzických umění.

Vedle divadelního vyžití měli návštěvníci festivalu SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER možnost zúčastnit se kreativních workshopů nebo diskuze z&nbsp;prostředí států Visegrádské skupiny na téma „Jsme v&nbsp;bezpečí a chceme být?“, která se týkala nejen problematiky sexualizovaného násilí na univerzitách. Pořadatelé se v&nbsp;dramaturgii doprovodného programu rovněž zaměřili na hudební program, který situovali do brněnských klubů První Patro a ArtBar Druhý Pád.V průběhu festivalového týdne se dále uskutečnily diskuze o samotných představeních. Během ENC: TALK pak každý z&nbsp;porotců odprezentoval sobě blízké, profesně zaměřené téma rezonující s&nbsp;dnešním obecenstvem. Diváci tak měli možnost nahlédnout přímo do jejich praxe. Profesionální porota letos usedla v&nbsp;tomto složení: Sonia Murcia Molina (Španělsko), v letech 2014–2022 ředitelka Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Murcia; Aminata Keita (Česká republika), režisérka, jejíž inscenace Feminista se nyní hraje v Národním divadle Brno; Bálint Antal (Maďarsko), divadelní režisér a Sascha Kühne (Německo), scénograf a světelný designér.<component-embed-media src="https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/mediaboard-publishing/blogs/1dvu6kmoW0Urqv8pyvDaB0qVRPtVwVfn" alt="Porota, foto Vojtěch Šoula" content_type="image/jpeg" type="image"></component-embed-media>Závěrečný ceremoniál se již tradičně uskutečnil v&nbsp;Divadle Husa na provázku, kde byla porotou a ředitelem festivalu udělena následující ocenění Marta:V kategorii Režie získala ocenění Marta Kateřina Volánková za inscenaci Žebrácká opera aneb Kauza vyližmetr (Akademie múzických umění v Praze, Česká republika). Porota ocenila zejména režijně vytříbenou adaptaci klasické divadelní hry s&nbsp;vhodně tematizovaným politickým přesahem.Ocenění Marta v kategorii Fyzické divadlo získala Nino Nozadze (Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, Gruzie) za schopnost upoutat pozornost diváků prostřednictvím emocí ztvárněných pohybem v rámci sborové performance Lysistrata.Ocenění Marta v kategorii Autorské herectví získala Aleksandra Gosławska (The Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, Polsko) za odvážnou interpretaci osobního příběhu s využitím široké škály imaginace v inscenaci STAND UP: Monodrama Aleksandry Gosławské.Cenu Marta v kategorii Vynikající herecký výkon získal Maurice Läbe (Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, Německo) v&nbsp;inscenaci Cannibals.Ocenění ředitele festivalu obdržel George Berry (London College of Music, Velká Británie) za performance Miss Brexit.<component-embed-media src="https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/mediaboard-publishing/blogs/qygoInHfVHxOAGjj5qR9EIlSlGTbZb9y" alt="Foto Vojtěch Šoula" content_type="image/jpeg" type="image"></component-embed-media>Projekt je spolufinancován vládami České republiky, Maďarska, Polska a Slovenska prostřednictvím visegrádských grantů z <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.encounter.cz/partneri/">Mezinárodního visegrádského fondu</a>. Ve dnech 28. března – 1. dubna 2023 se uskutečnil 33. ročník Mezinárodního festivalu divadelních škol SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER

In addition to theatrical performances, festival visitors had the opportunity to participate in creative workshops or a discussion on the topic "Are we safe and do we want to be?" from the perspective of the Visegrad Group countries, which addressed not only the issue of sexual violence at universities. During ENC: TALK, each of the judges presented a topic related to their professional field that resonates with today's audience. The viewers had the opportunity to gain insight into their practice. And in order to that a remarkable teamwork of the whole crew and an impressive sense of interaction in the performance Cannibals.<component-embed-media src="https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/mediaboard-publishing/blogs/vLLG3fJJihzJsvoC3x5i5hHSB3TQIzuN" alt="Foto Vojtěch Šoula" content_type="image/jpeg" type="image"></component-embed-media>The Award of the Festival Director to George Berry (London College of Music, The United Kingdom) for being an engine of the play in the performance Miss Brexit.The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.Furthermore, this festival is created with the financial support of the City of Brno, the Municipal District od Central Brno, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the State Fund for Culture of the Czech Republic. The festival is also under the auspices of the Mayor of Brno, the City District Brno-Middle, the Czech Commission for UNESCO, the Governor of the South Moravian Region, the Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the ENCATC and EFFE. From March 28 to April 1, 2023, the 33rd edition of the International Festival of Theatre Schools SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER took place

The closing ceremony of Encounter took place at the Husa na provázku Theatre, and once again featured the festival's thematic heroes - an anthill of organisers and students who made the five days a solid foundation for quality theatre experiences. The original dance performance from Moravské náměstí was transformed into a choral farewell song in the theatre hall. The queen of ants said goodbye in her native tongue and the jury praised the participating theatre companies.&nbsp;Like an anthill, the theatre community dissolved back into its home colonies. Dissolution of the anthill or Fin

Záverečný ceremoniál Setkání/Encounter sa v&nbsp;priestore Divadla Husa na provázku opäť predstavil festivalovými tematickými hrdinami – mraveniskom organizátorov a študentov, ktorí z&nbsp;piatich dní vybudovali pevné základy pre kvalitné divadelné zážitky. Pôvodná tanečná performancia z&nbsp;Moravského náměstí sa v&nbsp;divadelnej sále pretavila do zborového rozlúčkového spevu. Kráľovná mravcov sa rozlúčila svojim rodným jazykom, porota ocenila zúčastnené divadelné súbory.&nbsp;Divadelná komunita sa ako mravenisko rozpustila späť do svojich domácich kolónií. Rozpustenie mraveniska aneb Fin

And we have to admit that this year they certainly didn't have it easy. Students from every corner of the world showed that they are well on their way to being the future of theatre in their respective countries. As the closing speech said, “You did a great job”. Although the festival is non-competitive, the closing ceremony included the presentation of awards to individual artists for their performances this year. Students were given awards in several categories.&nbsp; This year’s Marta award for directing went to Kateřina Volánková from DAMU for her adaptation of the play The Beggar's Opera. In the physical theatre category, the production Lysistrata earned the prize, and dancer Nino Nozadze received the award. The prize for devised theatre this year went to Aleksandra Gosławska for her monodrama Stand-up. Although the jury wanted to award one whole ensemble for their outstanding acting performance, it was not possible as the rules unfortunately did not allow them to do so. Therefore, they gave an award to Maurice Läbe on behalf of his entire ensemble. The Festival Director's Award was received with great enthusiasm by a group of actors from the London College of Music, University of West London for their production of Miss Brexit. Our sincere congratulations to all the winners.In this way, we, the editors of Meeting Point, would also like to thank all the participants of the festival for their great performances, but also those who were behind the festival, built it, and gave us the opportunity to witness the great moments of ENCOUNTER 2023.
